Between the lines and not comprehensive:

CJF:
Team is not experienced as CJF wants but more experienced than outsiders think
Rule changes (transfer portal and 4-game redshirt, etc.) have affected recruiting and roster management – perhaps unexpectedly
Tommy Stevens is day-to-day on whether or not he will be ready to go on the first day of spring ball
There’s always “no doubt about it”

Lorig:
CJF never offered him a job previously but Lorig could tell that CJF was following his career
Proud of the upswing of success at Memphis on special teams
Seems to take ST very seriously, i.e. one of three branches of the game as opposed to a sideshow
How he will assist with D is early in development stage
Special teams groups will have separate meetings (this is apparently new)
Already has relationship with some recruits coaches-of-recruits in California who were looking at PSU or vice versa

Is any team ever as experienced as a coach wants? The fact is that this is isn't the 1970s or 1980s anymore. Coaches are going to have to deal with, work with, and succeed with frosh and sophomores. God, the qb of Clemson this past season was a frosh.

this is almost shocking, especially for the punt, punt cover, KO, KO return teams. (if it is new)

Weren’t all 4 starters in the CFP first year starters? They weren’t all freshmen, but they were all young and inexperienced.

I like our new ST coach. He seems to have his sheet together. Am looking forward to
a big improvement with our ST.
