We're in the middle of a recession with rising inflation, high energy costs, a housing market teetering, a supply chain crisis, a proxy war with Russia through Ukraine, China daring us to make the first move, viruses leaking out of labs left and right, and NOW the dems want to sink us with this POS Green New Deal -- and they have the balls to brand it as "THE INFLATION REDUCTION ACT??"

Has anybody in Washington been paying attention to what these green policies have done in Sri Lanka, Germany, France, the Netherlands, UK, Poland, Italy, Canada, etc??

F***. The US had a chance to side-step all that pain and suffering, but noooo -- the Dems just had to virtue-signal their way to the destruction of America. This day will go down in history. Thanks for nothing, Dems. And FJB.

There's nothing like a forced transition to a new system of energy when the new system and it's facilities are not ready for prime time. All this does is make most people poorer as they can't afford the forced transition to the green economy. All I have is my gas guzzling F-150, I don't have a Ford Lightening so I'll continue to pay more for this forced transition as most people will also.

It's not a blunder, it's being done purposely by design (crashing of the USD/economy). Same thing with the open borders, pending food crisis (everyone eat bugs and other humans!), energy crisis, pushing subversive ideologies like CRT, etc.. The WEF/Khazarian Mafia goons want to crash the U.S. so that whatever country comes out of the ashes will be malleable and become part of their one world totalitarian govt.

Amen. You literally couldn't do more damage to America than Joe Biden's done in these last 18 months.

Right on. And well said.

The "Inflation Reduction Act" --- positively an Orwellian name and total twist of the truth.

There is actually some good stuff in there. the tax raise is minimal. the funding of the green new deal, as scaled-down as it is, is fundamentally ludicrous. I like how they are subsidizing Obamacare, and extending it, so that people don't see the damage of ObamaCare. The dems know, even with RvW, they are going to get crushed in Nov and this is their only chance.

Stop hyperventilating, Chi. It's not a good look for you. Perhaps you could move to the Permian Basin area (i.e., West Texas) and support all of those fine folks releasing ginormous quantities of methane gas into the atmosphere.

True. What's done is done. It was a fun experiment in virtue-signaling empathy by white people in their gated communities, but it only took 19 months to burn it all down. Well done, dems. Well done.

How do you think our government works?

The party in power pushes initiatives which line their pocketbooks.

It is how it has been forever.

Everything else be damned.

These green funding bills have as much to do about the environment as the education department has to do with making schools better. Both are about setting up the flow of money and power for the 🤡 party. Congress gives massive funding to ‘green’ companies and organizations. Then these outfits donate huge amounts to the campaigns of these same 🤡. Also help with campaigns by donating people power, ‘issue’ ads that don’t fall under campaign laws and restrictions. They help with targeted voter registration drives and get out the vote drives.

Just like the teachers unions and SEIU, AFSCME, and more. It’s a dirty feedback cycle of power and greed.

So, don't buy a gas guzzling truck, There are many quality hybrid or all electric cars which would solve your issue.

Enemies of the West with a thunderous standing ovation...

You'll notice that she said we'll "RID" ourselves of dependence on fossil fuels, not "LESSEN" ourselves of dependence on fossil fuels.

Yellen knows nothing about the science/physics of renewable energy. She'e merely a zealot who gladly spews the part line. These people are dangerous.

Just look at the inflation reduction act. It includes $437b of spending but in reality it will cost twice that. $100b goes to further subsidize Obamacare and Medicare for 3 years. Does anybody really think that will only be for 3 years? $114k goes for solar panels and windmills which might be OK, but where's the money to for things like cleaning the forest, building reservoirs, and strengthening seawalls? $3b goes to the post office for EV trucks. Why is this needed if EVs are more economical? Don't they pay for themselves? And of course money is set aside for underrepresented communities because the weather is racist. The revenues are equally suspect. $122b comes from repealing regulations on prescription drug rebates that never went into effect anyway. In other words, no actual change in revenue. Of course the $124b from increased IRS enforcement is speculation.
