2022 Recruiting Class Thread

Rumblings elsewhere on the interwebs that Dani Dennis-Sutton is planning to return to UGA for an unofficial. Will be interesting to see if CBs start flipping to UGA.

Probably the single toughest -- but most important -- recruiting battle for this staff for this class.

Wiltfong CBed Singleton to Notre Dame late yesterday, which is not a good sign for Penn State. I hate to say this but Penn State is now looking at a Top 20 recruiting class when the recruiting cycle is all said and done, and not the Top 5/10 recruiting class we were all hoping for several months ago.
I’ll take that bet.

Yep, likely had never been to cheese country and could have been fun. But with the opportunities he already has and wanting to get to the end of the chaos, just not worth waiting for. Sounds like good news for the good guys.
His father played WR for the Packers from 1999-2012 so I have to assume he's been to cheese country. It's good to know there's not going to be a homecoming as of now.

I don’t know if it was mentioned or not in the Johnson/commitment thread, but he apparently ran multiple sub 4.5 40s for the staff.
That wasn’t even his best workout drill number.

EDIT: Ryan posted it for free: "Johnson posted a 4.47-second 40-yard dash and a 4.18-second shuttle"

Seems like a pretty big snafu or maybe they no longer either feel like they have a legit shot or he dropped down their board or they are filled up now at his position. Either way, that's one school eliminated.
You have to wonder if they purposely asked him to come up to Madison in September to wear red on their sideline against us and he just ended the conversation at that point. CJF was his father's position coach, albeit one year, with the Packers so there's familiarity there.

The rumor on Singleton is that he’s torn between Notre Dame and Penn Stateespecially after his visit to South Bend went really well and the Irish coaching staff said he was the main priority for them. Penn State showed the Shillington (Pa.) Governor Mifflin four-star running back a great time on a recent visit, he’s an in-state kid and there’s a lot to like about the Nittany Lions. But Notre Dame definitely has him thinking a lot. Visits to Texas A&M and Alabama will happen before it’s time to decide.

Not true---he was always a priority kid for us always.

We had 4 RB's targeted-----got a commitment from 1 of them. There was no ranking ever publicized. The other 2 committed last week to OSU and OU .

His visit last week was his 3rd time at South Bend which shows the interest was mutual. He came twice as a soph on his own dime.

He has nothing but good choices .

Based on the reactions from some of the ND assistants when Hayden went to OSU, it sure seems Hayden (and Sawchuck) were priorities ahead of Singleton. Which is odd, because Singleton is a stud in his own right.

I mean, can't go wrong with any of Singleton, Sawchuck, and Hayden, but ND very clearly wanted Hayden very badly. Now it seems they're shifting their eyes to Singleton.

It's probably an ND/PSU battle right now.......but that Alabama visit looms large.

So if Hayden or Sawchuk wanted in, Singleton still had a spot? ND is taking whatever they can get. Everybody is watching the RB dominoes fall. I don’t doubt at all he has interest in ND, but he was never priority number one for you.

Singleton has been PSU’s number one priority at RB for ‘22 for four years.
