Looks to me like quite a few future AA on the second team, both O& D for PSU. I’d say the next few years they may have a chance!!!

Amazing how things change. My brother in laws dad (wife’s sister) played at an ACC school in the early 70’s. He was really good, team captain etc. He was listed at 6’5” 250 and was the biggest guy on the team. All of his old press clipping mention how big he was (he is a huge guy) but today those measurements are nothing special.

Iowa had 20 straight losing seasons from ~1960 through 1980, the year I was born.

Truly a splendid cosmic accident I was born in 1980, as I tend to enjoy college football.

Who was the back up fullback. Matt you as a senior in hs?

The difference in size then and now is almost unbelievable. There have to be steroids in the food chain or something to account for growth then and now.

My senior year at Conestoga High School, the heaviest guy on defense weighed 180 lbs. We were little different from other schools at the time. Can you imagine a 180 lineman playing high school football now?

That was my freshman year and I got to go to one game on All-U day and I think I ended in seats across from the north end zone on the north end. The track was still in the stadium.
i remember a game I attended in High School for Band Day sitting in the wooden south end bleachers freezing watching Cappy take it to NCST and Lou Holtz and the Buckey twins. I think.
