    Caitlin Clarks NIL deals

Still overpaid based on the amount of revenue generated to be frank. Clark will however move the needle all by herself, along with players like Cameron Brink and Angel Reese. Clark much more than the others, but basically for the 1st time since the league started, the WNBA may get decent...

UConn-Purdue averaged 14.8 million viewers, fewer than women's title game for first time

UCONN is absolutely a blue blood. More titles than Duke, Kansas and Indiana. Currently tied with UNC at 3rd most with 6. Do they move the ratings needle? Probably not, but they have been the best basketball program in the country period over the last 25 years, and it’s not particularly close.

    Come home Saquon...come home!

This is awesome! He will get every opportunity to have huge years behind the Eagles O line and with Hurts running threat. The real question, can he play DB?

    Caitlin Clarks NIL deals

I meant she is arguably already the most popular women’s basketball player on the planet. It’s possible she can make just as much at Iowa next year in endorsements, put the scoring record impossibly out of reach.

    Caitlin Clarks NIL deals

Well said. Clark is the 1st famous NCAA athlete playing a sport that doesn’t have huge pro salaries in the NIL era. Maybe the WNBA makes her the focus of their marketing campaigns which will be beneficial, but not it seems her college games are getting more attention than any WNBA game.

    Caitlin Clarks NIL deals

Why? Nobody really cares about the WNBA. People care about her. She can do any commercial or endorsement now while in college she can do in the WNBA.

    Question about college degree accreditation

That’s not true for Penn State or anywhere. I know people that went to Harvard (several) and Princeton who have good but not great jobs. One Harvard guy was a beer salesman for a brewery. Liked his job, did fairly well, but never had better opportunities thrown his way.

    Superbowl over time question

He’s so good, basically money anywhere less than 60 in decent conditions. In hindsight, going for it on 4th is the right call. But if they fail and KC drives for a FG, Shanahan gets hammered by the media.

St. Josephs prep: the new Berwick...

West was before my time. Dave Robbins was the QB after Powlus, like a year or two after. He went to Boston College, but don’t think he ever saw the field. He graduated in maybe 96, and I think he was Curry’s last stud QB. He certainly had a smattering of FBS players during his 4 in a row...

St. Josephs prep: the new Berwick...

Good post! Anthony Sacca is the latest of the type you mentioned. He’s a legacy, but seems to have no interest in PSU.

St. Josephs prep: the new Berwick...

He was a task master, but also a very good offensive coach. He basically ran a pro style offense with multiple formations and personnel groups. He was multiple at a time where that was virtually unheard of at the high school level. When he had a smart and talented QB at the helm it was lights...

St. Josephs prep: the new Berwick...

He had a good career at WVU (I know he went to Notre Dame 1st). We had Collins at QB in 92 (with John Sacco) and 93. Would Kelchner have beat out those guys?

    Obrien to BC

Why the BOB hate? Ya, he’s prickly and stubborn, but he’s a football coach. Couldn’t Joe be described as the same? Joe was cranky as hell most of the time. BOB is still a top notch OC and play caller. BC getting someone with his chops is a big win for them. Chip leaving UCLA for the OSU OC...

St. Josephs prep: the new Berwick...

As good as Berwick was in their heyday, they only had a portion of the talent at St. Joe’s. Mostly, they had a bunch of FCS/D2 kids that were really well coached and tough. Other than Powlus and Bo Orlando, did PSU ever really miss on a Berwick kid who would’ve really helped?

    Question about college degree accreditation

They are fake. I read about a scandal in California where govt. workers were getting completely fabricated graduate degrees conferred from such a place that just handed out degrees with no classes or assessment. Somehow, the state didn’t due any diligence and was just automatically accepting...

    OT, Vince McMahon

These allegations are despicable. I do have one question. Why would Vince do this to an employee? Can he be any dumber? There is an entire profession out there that discretely offers such services. Not cheaply I’m sure, but Vince can afford it. Perhaps just paying for it was no longer fun or...

    OT, Vince McMahon

Ya, Vince has always been jacked. He was in the early 80’s. Yes, he certainly used and probably still used roids. He had a Dr. prescribe all the stuff to his guys when he could still get away with that.

    Tenn sues the NCAA

Of course they spent it, they need to support all the money losing sports. I don’t like universities sponsoring professional sports teams, but it will happen and nobody cares what I think. I’m not even arguing against it as I don’t have a good counter. Here’s the question, would a second tier...

    Tenn sues the NCAA

But you know that treating athletes as employees creates a whole new set of issues, including workman’s comp. Probably 98% of NCAA athletes are making no money for their school, and this includes many programs at even P4 schools. Isn’t the issue how to segment and pay only the athletes in...
