    Grand Canyon trip recommendations?

I’d definitely recommend staying in the park, but if you can’t, there are several places just outside the park that are affordable and convenient. It’s not terrible commuting into the park if you have to.

    Grand Canyon trip recommendations?

Another underrated location is Cottonwood and the Verde Valley. https://wanderingspectator.wordpress.com/2020/05/29/wandering-in-the-verde-valley/

    Grand Canyon trip recommendations?

The Canyon is spectacular at sunrise and sunset. Grab a snack and enjoy the views. Here’s my writeup from our last visit. https://wanderingspectator.wordpress.com/2020/09/07/wandering-around-the-grand-canyon/

    Grand Canyon trip recommendations?

Add Antelope Canyon and Horseshoe Bend to the itinerary. It’s a great day trip from Flag. https://wanderingspectator.wordpress.com/2019/07/08/wandering-in-northern-arizona/

    TCM Movie Marathon

Nah. Not for me. While the criminal justice aspect is intriguing, I’m not a big movie guy. And I’m even less of a movie star guy.

    OT: Murder in Scranton

Here's my latest post on a murder from 1867. Spoiler Alert - it wasn't the Scranton Strangler. A man is convicted and then later acquitted. Does a courtroom outburst 30 years later reveal the real killer? https://truecrimenepa.wordpress.com/2024/04/16/who-murdered-dr-durkin/

OJ Simpson dead at age 76

It’s really a shame. He was my childhood hero and the sole reason why I became a diehard Bills fan. I remember when he broke the 2,000 yard record in 1973. I was at Monticello Raceway with my dad watching on a tiny TV. Growing up I always wanted to meet him but the old saying, “never meet...

OT: Just heard on NHL Radio Network that Arizona Coyotes are moving to . . .

I was a season ticket holder when they were downtown - in an arena that had obstructed view seats behind one of the nets. When they moved to Glendale, I gave up the seats since they were on the far NW side of the valley and the commute would be horrendous for 40 games. The cities have been...

    Huge weekend in Cleveland

Pretty big weekend in Phoenix too! Final Four. Diamondbacks vs Yankees series ended Wednesday.. Suns vs T-Wolves on Thursday then vs Pelicans tomorrow. Coyotes at home beat the Vegas yesterday. Phoenix Rising MLS won last night. Add in free concerts for The Jonas Brothers, Mumford and Sons...

    Tesla - exited short sale

Yea. Definitely not worth in my option but others swear by it already. I had a couple of issues with it and will tread lightly over the next couple of weeks.

    Tesla - exited short sale

I’m 8700 miles and 7 months in on my Tesla 3 and still love it. Not a single issue (knock wood) to report. They just gave everyone a free month of “full self drive” to try and presumably help them to improve the service. Personally, not a fan of it yet but it is amazing tech. It just feels...

Sneak Peak of State Farm Stadium

There have been so many historic moments in that stadium already. Boise State win over Oklahoma still ranks as one of my personal favorites to witness. Cardinals over Packers in the 2010 playoffs was another. Carlos Dansby’s sack/fumble in OT. Saquon’s TD was electric. The list goes on...

Sneak Peak of State Farm Stadium

The venue for the Men’s Final Four is looking good! Phoenix does such a great job of hosting major events. I’m sure other cities do as well, but it’s always great to see the some of the world’s largest sporting events here in town. Some of the best graphics were in the tunnel and locker...

    Opening Day of Baseball!

That’s how I followed the A’s from Scranton. The Amazin’ A’s of the 72,73,74 seasons got me hooked. I would pour through the box scores and could almost envision the game being played out. I dreamed about attending a game at Oakland-Alameda County Stadium. I finally got the chance in the...

    Opening Day of Baseball!

I became a fan of the A’s by reading the newspaper back in the early 1970s. Hard to think reading will create new fans today. The next generation will be accustomed to “pay per view.”

    Opening Day of Baseball!

Lifelong A’s fan that became a DBacks fan here. I just found out today that the only way to see the DBacks now is via specific streaming providers or an annual streaming subscription of $99. 🤦‍♂️ Little by little, sports are becoming a pain in the a$$.
