burroughs would not have wrestled mesenbrink again, but he needed to weigh in just in case jacques, monday, or berger (and maybe lockett/marinelli but i don't remember when those guys were eliminated) took third, since he did not beat those guys.
i guess that makes sense. i see at 97kg, it shows moore over jackson in the true 2nd match as a no contest, i assume because moore beat jackson in the quarters. does that mean moore made weight on day 2 and just didn't wrestle? i suppose he would have needed to be ready in case schultz won that...
i'm very confused about this 74kg bracket. JB lost in the finals of the challenge tournament and beat the guy who finished 3rd (MM), so why is there a true 2nd match at all?
Dang, we probably would have been on that elevator with you but we saw men's volleyball was still going as we were passing by so we stopped in there before checking in. If you see a 5yo with a "GRATITUDE" sweatshirt around the hotel this weekend, I'm his dad.
have you ever watched olympic badminton? it's bonkers
personally i could do without so many distances and strokes for the swimming events. i don't need 1 person coming home with 8 gold medals. i much prefer track where doing just 2 events (excluding relays) makes you a beast and doing what...
I'm looking at the 65kg bracket (see below) and it looks like they just set it up like a normal 16 person bracket, and then decided that Zain's "bye to the semis" means he takes on the winner of the normal bottom semifinal, the one that would be 2 vs 3 if seeds hold.
But doesn't that actually...
we were up for state patty's day last year (inadvertently) and local whiskey had a sign outside that no one wearing green was allowed in. we had just come from the hockey game wearing only blue and white so it was nice to be in a less crowded bar when the line for champs downtown extended like...
looking at entries on flo:
Josh Rodriguez at 57kg and Mason Gibson is confirmed, Pierson Manville is at 65kg for free and 67kg for greco, and Erik Hinckley is registered at 97kg greco (I know he has nothing to do with PSU, but it's fun to watch him)...
(don't shoot me) i think i heard basch and willie saying a couple weeks ago that they'd be surprised beau takes a fifth year, that he'll be focusing on his fiancee and business, but that he's more likely to be back if he doesn't win it this year
beer was on the menu boards for the psu women's basketball game i attended at the BJC a couple weeks ago, so i'd assume it'd be available for trials. but we all know about assumptions...
