    OT - Dogs in strollers

The CC course is not always open or it may be closed until the frost has lifted or it may be raining and no one is out.. We don't walk on the course if golfers are there. There is a service road that does a half circle around the course - we walk the pups on that.

    OT - Dogs in strollers

"That is funny! It really bothers me to see these poor freaking dogs locked up in a stroller." I beg to differ. We have 2 pups -- 15yo male and a 11 yo female. We live on a CC golf course so they get plenty of walks. We bought the stroller in anticipation of our 15 yo struggling to keep up...

    Are you content

"I don’t believe many people are “bitching” about PSU. They are “bitching” about Franklin. You are just interpreting it as people “bitching” about PSU. You will find that the majority of everyone loves PSU. They are simply tired of the shenanigans and “CEO” approach of the current head ball...

    Are you content

I am content. We are a society that thinks the "grass is always greener on the other side". Just look at all the other programs complaining about their team. They all want to hire the "hot" coach when things go bad. When they do and things don't improve right away, they melt down all over...

Long Journey and I am tired

I disagree with OP. I too am a long time fan of PSU since 1974. Sure, everyone would like to go undefeated every year. Look at programs like Miami and FSU that ruled college football for years and have now come back to earth. Even Alabama looks beatable these days. To win, it takes good...

    New orleans

No way I would stay in the French Quarter -- too seedy. We stayed a couple of blocks away on Poydras Street and walked. Lots of neat places to eat and drink on Decatur Street. Do a swamp tour if you can. Make sure you try the beignets donuts and muffaletta sandwich.

    Hell Just Froze Over!

I too was a big Pitt fan back in the 70's when Tony D played there. I went to school in Beaver County so I rooted for the local kid. It all changed the year I spent an afternoon with Jackie Sherrill (part of my job). He bad mouthed Joe and PSU so bad I have hated them ever since. The year was...

    T Frank Film Breakdown: Indiana

I love these film studies!! Thanks!!! My only football experience was Midget and sandlot. Plays drawn up in the dirt. When I watch these films I'm like ' Gee, this is complicated like rocket science'.

    Thank You Phil Grosz

I have pretty much just been a lurker here on BWI for the last 15 years. I read the forums several times a day and usually only respond to OT questions. However, I must say, this is my favorite website of all. Thanks Phil for your invaluable service!!! Go PSU!!!

Visiting Israel and The Holy Land

"Menu items will be limited to things that can be prepared the day before." True. We only ate in hotels for breakfast and dinner so choices were limited on the Sabbath. We only ate locally for lunch. I assume the people bussing the tables and washing dishes afterwards were not practicing Jews.

Visiting Israel and The Holy Land

My ATM card had expired and I was unable to get shekels. Not a problem -- everyone loved the dollar. I think the Dead Sea, Masada, Sea of Galilee, and Jerusalem are must sees. Bethlehem gave me the creeps -- not what I pictured while singing "O Little Town of Bethlehem". Israel is much safer...

AKB- new car finishes- best wax or polish

There are many great products out there -- Maquires, Griots, etc. Some find that carnuba wax works best for them. For an older car, a polishing compound is better to remove imbedded dirt and grime. Youtube has several videos detailing how to wash/polish your car and also the various types of...

Things to Do & Places to Eat in Asheville, NC

Biltmore for sure. The Wicked Weed is a nice brew pub -- it was packed to the roof when we went there a couple of years ago.

    OT - whole house generator

Its like carrying an umbrella. Once you get one you will hardly ever use one. We got our inline generator 10 years ago and it has only gone on for more than 30 minutes twice. But hey, it definitely worth it for peace of mind. I'm glad we are protected.

Alabama doesn't need to recruit, just take 'em from the transfer portal....

Saban will retire someday and Alabama will feel the effects just like every dynasty has over the years.. Bama may pick up a few recruits from the portal but i bet they probably lose a few guys too who are tired of waiting behind other superstar players.

OT: My first eat-in restaurant experience in 14 months.

Welcome back to the real world. We haven't changed our routine and have been eating out at least once a week since June. Everyone to their own comfort though -- that's what makes America great.

POLL: Ms. BWI Bracket Poll III - Round 1, Match 1 - Alexandra Daddario vs. Carmen Electra.

I would go with Carmen except for the implants.
