Football Happy Valley United announces Retain The Roar NIL campaign

The thing we have going for us is there’s probably another 120 fanbases that see it the same us. Between NIL and being guilted into tipping the gal that hands me my deli sandwich every day, I’ve got “gimme more money” fatigue. I still get my tix and parking and pay the NLC contribution because...

    Earthquake in philly

I’m close to you in Somerville in an office trailer. I thought the trailer was being repossessed.

“Stop all prop betting” says NCAA

The ultimate answer will be for the casinos to begin funneling money to NIL earmarked to combat the stress caused by gamblers betting on player stats. Why aren’t college athletes getting a piece of the casino profits anyway?

    OT - Dogs in strollers

We have a now 12 week old lab. I cannot imagine that little girl ever sitting still long enough to be in a stroller.

    Come home Saquon...come home!

I’m happy for the PSU Eagles fans. Finding it hard to love the NFL (or College) lately.

    Come home Saquon...come home!

Funny story. My daughter, a high school Sr. In the Lehigh Valley, texted me this AM. She says don’t ask me how I know, Saquon signed with the Eagles. Apparently the spouse of one of her teachers works with Saquon in some capacity. I was not going to post it here because it seemed a bit...

Does spring practice answer our biggest questions…

Honestly, my biggest concern that nobody seems to mention is at QB. I get the WR issues, but was some of that on Drew?

FB Recruiting FACT OR FICTION - Syracuse is a real threat to Penn State with elite Northeast talent?

Last player I was sorry to lose to them was James Mungro out of Stroudsburg, but that wasn’t this century. I believe he was the all time PA rushing leader at the time.

    Wendy's to start "surge pricing"

RE: Chlorine prices...Like everything thing else, there is no one simple answer. It started with the LA chemical plant fire, one of the largest chlorine plants in the country, at a time just after COVID hit and people were bleaching everything. In addition, the installation of home swimming...

    Wendy's to start "surge pricing"

The Chlorine shortage was due to a plant shutdown in Louisiana after a hurricane. They were one of my employer's customers at the time. Not sure it is back on line yet.

    Wendy's to start "surge pricing"

can’t disagree. It’s the closest food to work. It’s too easy. Don’t get me wrong, I am otherwise a healthy fit person. I just love McDonalds. It’s my guilty pleasure.

    Wendy's to start "surge pricing"

I noticed that too. It was like $7 for a hot dog. For reasons I cannot explain, I LOVE McDonald's burgers. I know...garbage. I'm addicted. The fries are disproportionately priced, I assume due to popularity. They know you're going to buy them, so they jack up the price. You don't even pay...

    FSU permitted to leave ACC

Just FSU leaving doesn’t spell the end of the ACC. Look at what’s left of the Big 12 and PAC 12. I’ll go out on a limb and say the ACC could lose a couple more and still be better than both.

    Michigan place kicker Moody

I heard a talking head suggest today that the Niners wanted the 3rd possession in OT. The reasoning was that if they matched scores on their respective first (Niners)/second (Chiefs) possession, the 3rd would be sudden death. Plausible, yes; but, man that is really overthinking it if true.

    Where's Phil (Grosz)

Makes it pretty much impossible to welcome new posters. They are just brutal on 247 if you step out of line. I think today’s message boards are a bit exclusionary. When you’re a new poster, you’re viewed as either a know nothing newbie or a troll from another fanbase. I admittedly read all 3...

Well, they could send hired guns to secretly record opposing teams' games...oh wait, that's not enforced either.

    Famous Toastery Bowl

Ahhh, the good ole days. I remember waking up midday on Jan 1 back in the day to tune into the Famous Toastery Bowl. Now those were some classics. Too bad they moved to a mid December Monday afternoon.
