    Why is Penn State lagging behind in women's wrestling?

    Obviously money and budget is part of the situation. That will eventually not be an major issue. I also think the PIAA has been slower than other states to include female wrestling. Now with the PIAA on board with it, I think it will have a domino effect within the state.

    Take away offsides in soccer and it would be much better. The idea that a contest has one or two scores a game when the goal is huge just confirms that the rules dictate the scoring opportunities.

    I like folk better, especially if ref forces wrestlers to stay active. I don't like the extended challenges in folk. It seems freestyle makes much quicker decisions on challenge calls.

    To make a point that was brought up on another thread concerning how good the PA State schools were in the 1970s thru 1980s. Ricky Bonomo won his 3 NCAA titles at 118 for Bloom and then Jack Cuvo won the next 2 for ESU at 118. 5 years in a row that weight was dominated by PASAC schools.
