A player who many may not expect too much from but could be the difference in PSU making the playoff?

I'll go with:

Hakeem Beamon

He has the ability to really shine if he can add a little weight. I think he has a high upside. Would give us a very solid 2 deep with Izzard, Ellies and Durant. He's the player I'll be tracking the most this offseason.

We need a breakout WR this season so I'll go with the highest rated one on the roster, Kaden Saunders. I'm really hoping he ends up being a Hamler/Dotson/Washington type guy.
Agree, with a young, green QB we need a presence at WR. I think it is Cephus. My Kent State and MAC fans tell me he's the real deal. And, before people scoff at the MAC, Kent has put several all-pro players into the NFL including Edelman, James Harrison and Josh Cribbs.

Good guesses. Remember heading into last year when we thought LB was weak and then bam, a true freshman showed up in the summer and took us by surprise? So I think WR and DT will have someone or even a couple of guys step up that we just aren't anticipating. The opportunity is there and so are some highly talented players that haven't had a big opportunity yet. So I may just go DT top 4 or 5 are surprisingly good and I like any of KLS, Wallace, Cephas, Evans, Saunders, or even one of the unmentioned but betting on one or two of those 5 listed.

The entire offensive line

As the line goes, both O and D, so we go vs Michigan and OSU. I'm sure we'll struggle with Iowa or Illinois one, but we will make due and either pull away or flounder.

The clock operator. With the new rules regarding clock stoppages he/she/they/them needs to keep it running when the other team has the ball. And then slow walk that thing if we need a late game winning drive.

I hope Cephus is the real deal, however, I don't think he is. He was considered the second best receiver on his own team in 2022.

I agree w many of the above...but will go off the board and say any kicker and/or punter who can step up. We've got some highly rated/scholarship guys who need to earn their keep, or maybe get "Nordined" (passed up never to return).

We've been pretty fortunate with specialists of late...but we know how much they can hurt us if inconsistent. Amor was a great surprise last year. Who's Next? (Album title pun intended. : )
