Average
Week 9 of the Average. A reminder that a wrestler must appear in half of the rankings to appear in the Average. Cortez appears in 2 of the 9, so he's not in the Average. Also, as the computer generated rankings often are more inaccurate (or whatever you'd like to call it) at the beginning of the season, I'll indicate the Average without and with the computer generated rankings. The two averages are not all that different at this point.
Without Computer Generated Included
125: Suriano - 2nd (3rd)
133: No PSUer (No PSUer)
141: Gulibon - 14th (13th)
149: Zain - 1st (1st)
157: Nolf - 1st (1st)
165: Joseph - 6th (6th)
174: Hall - 8th (9th)
184: Nickal - 2nd (2nd)
197: Cutch - 9th (9th)
285: Nevills - 4th (4th)
Team: 1st (1st)
With Computer Generated Included
125: Suriano - 2nd (3rd)
133: No PSUer (No PSUer)

I'd like to know why FLO sending Gulibon backwards after his last three matches.

But rankings are just opinions and CP actually picked Kemerer over Nolf the other week on the White Board Wars for the Iowa dual. So much for opinions.

There's something to be said about trying too hard: "STOP".

Often, the movement is based upon what others have done, and not simply on what a specific PSU wrestler did.

At 141, Flo moved Jared Prince up from 20th to 14th, based on his beating Randy Cruz last week, and Army's Logan Everett over the weekend, both of who were ranked higher than Jimmy when Prince defeated them. By contrast, while Jimmy looked good over the weekend, his two victories were over guys that were not in Flo's top 20 at 141.

Jimmy dropped 1 spot in 1 or 2 other ranking this week for the same reason -- Prince moving ahead of him.

Per Internet, tourney points (before bonus)

PSU - 129
Okie St - 110
tOSU - 101.5

Suriano to 2nd and Nevills to 3rd along with some Okie St losses helps to open that distance.

It makes sense when you consider the Prince/Cruz result HOWEVER I would imagine Jimmy will have to more than earn every upward movement with Flo, no benefit of how he "looked" after the crap CP got from his #1 Preseason Ranking a season ago. A few Iowa faithful still can't let it go.

The B1G being so unbelievably weak at 41 is also probably hurting his ranking with some services.

Fully updated and Average generated.

Not much movement in the Average.

In the Average without computer-generated included, Suriano moved up from 3rd to 2nd, Gulibon moved down from 13th to 14th, and Hall moved up from 9th to 8th.

In the Average with computer-generated included, Suriano moved up from 3rd to 2nd, and Cutch moved up from 9th to 8th.

There are several interesting matchups in the PSU - tOSU dual which could impact next week's rankings.
