Hi, remember us? We're PSAAforAll, and you helped our slate get 50% of all votes cast in the Penn State Alumni Association Alumni Council election. Nine of the candidates went on to win seats, and I don't think we've heard the last of Bill Cluck.

The biggest comment we heard after the election was 'guess we won't be hearing from them until they need our votes again'. No way, we've got work to do. First item is to help Alumni Council set an agenda for the coming year.

We took Alumni Council Representative Susan Wilson's post here on BWI asking for ideas and put it into an online survey that all can access. It's three questions, please take a moment to complete it: https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/GKM2SQG .

The survey will be up until the end of the month, then the responses will be published and shared with all members of Alumni Council.

Other things we're working on: finding places to cool off during Arts Festival, mixing up some Lion's Froth for a patio party, and planning our trip to the Penn State Vets-Fest at Tussey Mountain. You can read about all of this, plus Alumni Council Representative Laurie Stanell plays the 10 Question Game, in our newsletter PRIDE of Lions. It's available online at http://psaaforall.org/newsletter/prideoflions-junjul-2015.html

Thank you for your support.

I just voted, but I also can't help but think that my vote will be more than offset by Roger's "financially independent" staff stuffing the ballot box. I was only motivated to vote once, but there are certainly others within the PSUAA with an incentive to do otherwise.

Be cautious of the results because they may not be meaningful....

Thanks for voting and you raise a good point. There is security in place to allow only one voting session per computer/mobile phone/tablet, anything that has a specific IP address. That should knock down the vote early, vote often scenario quite a bit.

Aaaaanndd I learn something new every day. Thank you, I will correct this.

That would be great, thanks Tom. The survey will be running until the end of the month.

It is so very important for all Penn Alumni to be as active as they can with the Alumni Association. There is much power in a larger Pride of Lions. We all need to get as many opinions of alumns as possible on what you wish to see happen with the alumni association in governance and goals for the future.
