Hey, we all know its a 2 team race - so every Cards loss is just as valuable as a Bucco win.

4th straight loss (first time this year)
All 4 losses at home
All 4 losses to sub-500 teams
and tonight, they had their new ace (Wacha) going up against Cashner (who has been getting beat like a drum)
Cards managed just 4 hits on the night.....and Rosenthal gave up the game winner in the 9th.

If the rains ever stop......and the Buccos can get a couple runs......could be a 4 game swing in 4 days!

It was a good bet that the Cardinals couldn't keep up that winning pace they were on. They're a good team, not a great one. The Pirates are their equal. More than half the season remains. I like the Buc's chances to win the Division, but they will make the playoffs and the Giants proved last year that's all that matters. With the Bucco pitching they can dominate a short series. The Bucs have more series sweeps (9) this year than any team in the majors. Am I saying the Bucs will be in the World Series? Of course I am.
