Franklin was asked about Gene Smith's testimony last week to congress of recruits asking for about $5,000 on average to visit. "We're all dealing with the same challenges and issues because most of us are all recruiting the same guys."

Franklin also notes how teams have played them offensively this season has been limiting their success when it comes to explosive plays, but they've been able to show the ability to grind out wins.

Franklin said they've been very intentional with getting Beau reps over the first four weeks esepcailly with the first team offense. Notes that Beau Pribula does have a bigger package of plays than what we've seen so far this season and vetoed a play they were going to run on Saturday.

James Franklin is down 25 pounds by fasting for those who care.

Franklin noted with the quarterback sneak that they ran this past week that they'll be interested to see if the rule stays the way it currently is. Notes that having a 6-foot-5, 240+ pound quarterback helps as well."

Tone was different after a big win that we dominated. Very little on NW, 99% by coach.

Reporters seem to be grasping for "is this on purpose?" WRT our offense being safer, consistent, perhaps methodical. Good clue in about coordinators desire to lead in flashy stats for ego when winning is the most important ("if they converge then so be it." JF said).

@The Spin Meister mentioned that CJF had lost weight. I also noticed he didn't bite on the post-game ice cream that CBS offered to him.
