How many 8-2 teams fire the OC?

The one constant in all of the Michigan and Ohio State losses is the head coach.

Not at all saying it shouldn’t have happened but rare.
Without taking a position on the MY decision, it's fair to point out the following:

-The B1G is garbage this year outside of tOSU, PSU, and the Cheaterines, so the number of wins is kinda irrelevant.
-At this point, you can tier the B1G as follows:
Tier 1: UM, OSU
distant Tier 2: PSU
Tier 3/4: everyone else
-In the 2 losses to our peers, the O looked brutal, and if not for an extremely good defense, would have been blow outs.
-Even in the wins, despite some gaudy stats, the O did not look crisp or capable.

Why is PSU near the bottom of all of CFB in yards per pass attempt?
Why did the O look pretty good last year and is a dumpster fire this year? IDK. Is it the WRs not able to stretch the field and get open? Does Allar have an issue we aren't aware of? Did Sean Clifford bring intangibles we didn't see?

Bottom line: It's clear that PSU is an order of magnitude behind UM and OSU and when you look at the list of B2G HC salaries, that's hard to accept.

  • Ryan Day, Ohio State: $10,196,250
  • James Franklin, Penn State: $8,500,000
  • Jim Harbaugh, Michigan: $8,194,000
  • Luke Fickell, Wisconsin: $7,625,000
  • Kirk Ferentz, Iowa: $7,000,000
  • Bret Bielema, Illinois: $6,500,000
  • P.J. Fleck, Minnesota: $6,000,000
  • Matt Rhule, Nebraska: $5,500,000
  • Mike Locksley, Maryland: $5,500,000
  • Tom Allen, Indiana: $4,510,000
  • Ryan Walters, Purdue: $4,000,000
  • Greg Schiano, Rutgers: $4,000,000
  • David Braun, Northwestern: unknown*

Yep between the booing and the crying our fans have been a disgrace.
Sorry…but the game day coaching has been a disgrace.

After PSU scored, at worst, the score should have been 24-17 with 2 minutes left and PSU with 3TOs and a loud crowd and inspired defense.

At OSU, down by one score with 7 minutes left, he goes for 4th and 4 at midfield…once again screwing over his defense.

Franklin $hit the bed and is again diverting attention away from his horrible game management by firing the OC during the season. Sad.

in the michigan game, giving them the ball on our 30, a field goal at that point loses the game. Somebody needs to tear up franklin's analytics card.
