Based off of those seeds, here would be the team scores based solely on advancing and placement +/- indicates team points gained or lost based off of new results coming in based off of how I am viewing it. Same thing for individual rankings.

2. Michigan (+1) 104.5 +1
3. Ohio State (-1) 100.5 -4
4. Iowa 96 -5.5

6. Nebraska 75 -3.5
7. Wisconsin 68.5 +3.5
8. Illinois 48.5 +2
9. Purdue (+2) 36.5 +4
t-10. Northwestern (-1.5) 33.5 -0.5
t-10. Rutgers (-0.5) 33.5 0
12. Michigan State 26 -1
13. Indiana 20 0

Good stuff regfan! Appreciate the work on this. A lot of wrestling left but seems pretty spot on. Interesting note is the B1G at Nationals as the conference has a chance to have 10 top seeds and win each weight. Has that ever been done before?Puts enormous pressure and higher importance on B1G’s.

These threads are very helpful - keep providing these if you enjoy doing so.

I love these!

One question though -- why Pletcher above DeSanto? Pletcher lost to Micic, convincingly. DeSanto is undefeated in conference with better wins (both beat Lizak, DeSanto beat Suriano), and is practically assured to be with his remaining schedule.

Thanks for all the feedback. Glad to know people enjoy them. My method has kind of been to compare everbody's record against the Big 10 starters and then take out the wrestlers when I end up giving them a seed starting at the top. For example:
Micic is 5-0 against 133 starters
DeSanto is 5-0 against 133 starters
Pletcher is 6-1 against Big 10 starters.

So, after I seeded Micic 1 based off of the consensus #1 ranking in coaches poll, that leaves DeSanto 5-0 vs. rest and Pletcher 6-0 vs. the rest. (even in my mind since they are both undefeated against the rest of the field)

Basically, my theory is a loss to #1 shouldn't hurt your case for the #2 seed. That being said, they are close (evident by DeSanto being #4 in coaches poll and Pletcher being #5). In this particular case, not sure it plays a role but since they don't face each other I deferred to Pletcher being a returning Big 10 finalist and All-American and DeSanto being R12 last year.

Anyways, that is just my logic. I could very well be proven wrong when the brackets are released. DeSanto does have larger Margin of victory in common big 10 opponents for what it is worth. Also, these aren't predictions. Just how I think the seeds will come out.

Appreciate you putting this out. What does the +/- mean next to some of the names?

I believe the +1 is movement since the last time he did them, but I should just shut up and let him answer.... lol
