Penn State has picked up a commitment from Virginia tight end Matt Henderson.

74 receptions for 1,113 yards and 14 touchdowns. His team was 7-4 on the season. He averaged about 7 catches for 101 yds and 1.3 TDs per game.

That has to be the best production I recall seeing from a HS TE.

That would depend on how fast he is. If he's around 4.5/4.55 then definitely.

Regardless, I like him a lot at least on tape. Very good hands, and catches the ball well in traffic. Can't tell how good the competition is, but honestly with some of the tight windows he caught the ball in that part doesn't concern me nearly as much. Great get for PSU at a position they just re-stock. Will hopefully put at east some who thought O'Hara was going to be the TE recruit in this class (even though he is obviously destined for OL)!
